Öhlins Motorcycle Suspension
Öhlins develops shock absorbers, fork cartridges, springs and suspension components for chassis control on road, track and off-road.
Select motorcycle make, model and year, then compare the Öhlins part number, configuration and available adjustments: kits are not universally interchangeable.
Öhlins motorcycle suspension is developed to improve control, stability, traction and riding precision on the road, track and off-road. Öhlins was founded in 1976 with a strong racing background and continues to transfer race-derived technology into its aftermarket products.
This collection includes rear shock absorbers, fork cartridges, springs, complete forks, steering dampers, suspension oils and Öhlins components. Every product should be selected by checking the motorcycle make, model, year, version and the application code shown on the product page.
Öhlins components for motorcycle suspension setup
- Motorcycle shock absorbers for rear-end control, traction and stability
- Motorcycle fork cartridges to improve front-end precision, support and feedback
- Motorcycle fork springs to adapt the setup to rider weight and intended use
- Complete motorcycle forks for advanced front-end upgrades
- Motorcycle steering dampers to improve handlebar stability and control
- Motorcycle suspension oil for maintenance and consistent hydraulic performance
Öhlins technologies: TTX, STX and NIX
Öhlins uses different suspension architectures depending on the product and application. TTX uses a twin-tube system developed for precise damping control; the STX family uses single-tube solutions aimed at consistent performance, comfort and control; NIX technology is used in selected fork cartridge systems.
Not every Öhlins suspension product uses the same technology or offers the same adjustments. Compression, rebound, preload, length adjustment and other functions must be checked on the individual product page.
Öhlins suspension for road, track and adventure riding
The Öhlins range covers segments including Street Performance, Supersport, Adventure, MX & Enduro and other applications. A correctly selected setup can improve braking stability, corner-entry precision, traction under acceleration and the motorcycle’s ability to absorb surface irregularities.
The result still depends on the complete system: shock absorber, fork, springs, tyres, chassis geometry, rider weight, load and suspension settings must work together correctly.
How to choose the correct Öhlins component
Always verify the motorcycle make, model, year, version, Öhlins product code and original configuration. For forks and cartridges, also check front-end specifications and diameter; for rear shocks, verify the preload, compression, rebound, length adjustment and other features provided for that specific application.

Frequently asked questions about Öhlins suspension
Are TTX, STX and NIX the same technology?
No. They are different Öhlins technology families used on different products. The presence of a specific technology must be checked on the page for the individual component.
Is Öhlins suspension only for track use?
No. Öhlins develops products for road, supersport, adventure, off-road and other riding segments. The intended use depends on the individual product and its application.
How do I verify fitment?
Check the motorcycle make, model, year and version together with the Öhlins product code. Products from the same family can use different dimensions, mounting points and settings even when they look similar.
Do all Öhlins shock absorbers offer the same adjustments?
No. Preload, compression, rebound, length adjustment and other features vary by model. Always refer to the technical information for the individual product.
