Its aerodynamic shape was developed over two years to avoid frontal air pressure and provide clean, interference-free operation. The selected polymer remains flexible up to a defined safety limit and then shears at maximum deflection to prevent contact with the clutch lever. The guard is not compatible with standard handguards, which must be removed before installation. BRAKE-GUARD RACE and CLUTCH-GUARD RACE passed the MotoGP safety commission breakage test.
